PAINTINGS FROM THE " UNCONQUERED GEOGRAPHY " OF CELALETTİN TANDOĞDU

The paintings of Tandoğdu are blooming in a saved land (namely the intellectual world of the artist)far from the pomp of the art milieu of our civilization,a civilization that is defined with war, terror, violence, anger and pollution and which is instending to create a monotype world.Today there are too many so-called progressive artists who are claiming to be opposing the moulds of civilization but somehow taking the shapes of the most edged moulds. On the contrary of them it is evident that Tandoğdu has defended and kept this small, special ' saved land 'despite the fakes and forces of the civiliztion. This is why his scenes of nature arte creating an impression over the viewer not similiar to that of an ordinary landscape painting. As if every painting is a piece of this " unconquered geography ", as if every painting is a result of a necessity to redefine the nature.
